Achill is located on the west coast of County Mayo, Ireland, and is accessible by road. Achill is a four hour drive from Dublin and from Shannon airport, or five to six hours from Belfast. Achill is accessible by the Michael Davitt Bridge, built in 2008 on the site of the original bridge which was constructed in 1887.
For international visitors, Ireland West Airport Knock (link) provides excellent access and is a 75 minute drive from Achill. This fast-growing regional airport offers flights to and from numerous UK destinations including: Bristol, East Midlands, Liverpool, London (Gatwick, Luton & Stansted and Manchester. These services mean that Achill is less than 3 hours away from the U.K. The airport also offers flights to a number of European destinations.
